People use a number of things, Fiberglass is best but people also use roof coating, bed liner and even a good exterior paint.

I'm using pressure treated so no need for any coating. It's a little more money and heavier but probably nearly balances out on weight once you apply fiberglass or a roof coating to CDX.
I'll be done when I'm finished, if that's not fast enough, take a number.

There was an old trailer builder on here by the name of Gage, RIP. He swore by going to the auto parts store and buying black undercoat spray. He would then put a couple thick coats of that on the underside, not missing any spots.
Gage said he never had a problem using that. ...Just a thought.

Nothing seals plywood like epoxy. It soaks in and plasticizes the surface.

I used 2 coats of floor urethane, let it dry well, then did 2 coats of white roof coating on the bottom surface. One nice benefit, makes crawling around underneath to look at stuff easier & brighter with the white surface. A dark color is fine, but the white roof coat holds up very well & protects against water, small gravel & can be rinsed off at the car wash. Epoxy is really great as Tony said, but the lower tech still works well enough.

Just make sure the rubber goo is compatible with the primer. I suspect the Zinsser is made for a latex top coat?

I'm big on something that soaks into the wood surface, not a surface coating product.

I cover the top and bottom of the floor with plastic laminate, what most call Formica.
I spray 2 coats of contact cement on the wood and plam for a very water tight seal.
Never had a problem with it.

I still call it Formica which is probably why young people look at me weird and then say, oh you mean plastic laminate

Smart choice. Not strictly necessary, but I also spray any exposed epoxy with some cheap rustoleum enamel paint or undercoat since uv will cause the epoxy to break down over time.
