Mattress

Postby Dahlia47 » Sat Jan 21, 2023 7:03 pm

I am getting ready to buy a mattress. Either a regular foam or memory foam. I'm going to have to cut it into 3 pieces. Have you all regretted a certain cut? I'm afraid of cutting it in a spot that may be uncomfortable. Such as the hips, shoulders, etc. How do I keep them from moving apart? I don't want to waste my money. I would like to do this right. And comfortably. Any tips on cutting the mattress?

I needed two 30x80 inch mattresses in a standup camper.I cut a 60x80 inch queen mattress in two parts with an electric knife after carefully cutting the knit outside cover then sewed the cut side back together with heavy cord. Then put them in 30x80 inch mattress covers.Cost was less than buying just one 30x80 inch mattress.
