Coleman drip coffee maker

Postby beverlyt » Tue Apr 20, 2004 5:19 am

Has anyone tried this coffee maker? I've been meaning to call the company and also ask them if it would work on my Coleman grill stove, since it only has one "burner"...the other one being a grill/griddle. Instructions say for use on 2-3 burner stoves. Just wondering if anyone has used them and if they're worth the buy.

My guess is that as long as the coffee maker actually fits on top of the grillstove, it'll work. Next time I get into BassProShops I'll test it for fit. Although you might hear back from Coleman sooner...

Coleman Camping Drip Coffee Maker

Coffee hounds rejoice! You can now have genuine drip coffee, just like you do at home, while camping.

Coleman's Camping Drip Coffee Maker goes right on your Coleman Camping Stove and makes fabulous drip coffee just like your electric coffee maker does in the comfort of home. You can even pause the brewing if you can't wait for the whole pot to finish, then resume brewing.

True, this gadget is a little large (hence our lower design rating), but true coffee aficionados won't mind as the resulting hot cup of Joe is worth carrying the extra equipment. You can also use the coffee maker for hot water when preparing oatmeal and other hot cereals, instant soups, hot cocoa, tea and more.

Like all Coleman products, this one is made with quality and functionality in mind. The steel base works with all Coleman 2 or 3 burner camping stoves. The easy-fill reservoir helps prevent spillage, as does the 10-cup decanter. You can use all popular brands of paper filters in the 8-12 cup removable swing-out filter basket and it takes just minutes to brew a delicious pot of hot, satisfying coffee. What better way to start your camping day?

Coleman Propane Camping Stove/Grill

Coleman products have such exceptional quality that the camping stove that belonged to my parents, well over 30 years old, is still going strong. After countless camping trips, tailgate parties and short getaways, the old stove still functions as good as new.

That said, Coleman has made some significant improvements to their camping stoves that may make you consider an upgrade, even though your older products probably still work fine.

The new matchless one-touch electronic ignition makes the new Coleman stove as easy as pie to light. That's right, no more pumping fuel. And speaking of fuel, this stove uses those handy mini-propane cannisters instead of liquid fuel -- much easier and no chance of spillage or mess.

Best of all, this new camping stove can act as a stove, or as a grill -- with authentic drip-through grilling capacity, making it an extemely compact, yet versatile camping or tailgating accessory. That's right, you can grill and cook at the same time with two 10,000 BTU burners. An optional griddle accessory makes the stove even more versatile. The equipment's grease management system has an integral channel that carries grease away and is easily collected in a removable dishwasher safe reservoir.

oh yeah, i got one of those bad boys, and yes, it will work on your one burner grill.
It makes excellent coffee, but remember to point the carafe handle straight out or it leaks all over the stove.

Thanks for posting the info about this. My hubby will be a much happier camper if I pick up one of these for those early mornings. We have the original propane stove on our trailer, so I hate to change it out. I'll have to take measurements to Bass Pro and see how it fits.

I have two brand new in the box for sale. Coleman sent them to me by mistake and they don't want them back. I use the one that uses its own propane tank. Trade for some led tail lights?

I have one my wife bought me at a yard sale for $8. Love it! Works fantastic on my 2 burner propane stove. (wife got me at a yard sale for $2) Stays in my teardrop!
The burner is a little too far from the coffee pot "heater" plate on my old coleman white gas stove. Tends to heat the entire coffee maker, possibly will damage coffee maker. (melt)
