Skinning

Postby mikeschn » Sat Sep 04, 2004 4:42 pm

One of the things I did today was skin the frames with 1/4" luan. It seemed to go pretty good.

I left the luan overhanging a little bit on the sides and then came back with a laminate trimmer and trimmed it flush...

Here are the progress photos...

Mike, I'm lost in the notes and can't get out.....

Can you tell me where you got the foam tape with the adhesive on the back? 3/8 x 3/4 I think..... I can't remember where I asked the question before...

btw, did go out and spray the top of the trailer with rustoleum (where the deck will sit and it will not see the sun again).... The rest I can get to from the bottom if needed in the future..... tomorrow, creosoted floor goes on rustoleum painted trailer... and the walls still start on monday.

Sure, let me look quickly... hitting the search button...

typing in "weatherstrip"

Ah, 4 hits... looks like the most recent one would be it....

Yep, sure enough, there's the photo...

oh, sure, clearheaded guys (blood not thinned by south of the border drinks) might think of that<g>..

Thank you..... that looks like what I will need (Arne, still groping for the 'holy teardrop grail' of keeping the water out).....

White wine... clear headed? I'm not so sure about that... One thing I am sure about... I will not touch my power tools after my first glass of wine.

A paint brush, maybe... a broom, maybe... but not much else!!!
