Free patterns/templates from my Modernistic/Cub

Postby Glenn Quarles » Sat Jun 08, 2013 5:54 pm

Friends, now that I am done with "Clark" I do not need all of the full size templates laying around taking up space. We are going to be moving to Washington state in Sept, so if no one wants them before them, I will just have to cut them up and put them in the dumpster. I know Del Rio TX is a long way for most of you, but I just thought I'd offer.

put it in the for sale section of this forum and put it on craigs list. With a picture of you trailer so they know what it looks like.

You can say free sell the set for $50 O.B.O. bucks sometime selling makes them seem more worth it, to other people.

Never say "for free" as free expresses a value of $0, and people don't want it if it has no value. Say $50 OBO and someone will come in and offer you $20 thinking they are getting a steal.

Example: A couple years ago I put an old table on my front lawn with a "FREE" sign on it. Two weeks later it was still there, and I had to keep bringing it inside every time it would rain so it would not get damaged. A friend gave me a tip, so one day I changed the sign to read "Table, $50, inquire within"...some one came by and "stole" it that night after I went to bed.

Lesson learned: if you perceive it to have value others will want it. If you perceive it to be worthless so will others.
