The old hatch will be history. Had we tried shims or shaving down sides, the hurricane hinge would still have twisted. So..the new hatch build started yesterday. Made a new template, did the cut for a rib and matched it up. Did the same for the other side. So far so good, cut two more ribs for each side and matched everything up. Added 1/4" spacers, placed the ribs and clamped everything together. This afternoon, we measured out and matched up the pieces to create the frame. Instead of building off the teardrop like we did last time, we're building with ribs still clamped to the body and so far, everything is staying where it should..wish us luck...
