How do you folks that have built the front box for your tear determine the
height or width of it? Or is this pretty much of a preference..

The ones Im talking about are like the Camp Inn or Madjacks Gator Tear and a few more....

I was wondering so it wont turn out looking out of proportion....

ANYTIME I want to build something and I'm concerned about it looking out of proportion, I draw a scale picture of it before I start so I get the dimentions correct. That's what I did when designing my teardrop and the tongue box.

Don't forget to consider the width of the box and how it may affect the turning radius of the rig.
Too wide a box, coupled with a tight turn=crunch!
