Window Ring Screws

Postby SactownDude11 » Thu Jun 01, 2023 6:12 pm

Hello All! I bought some new RV windows from a private party. Fixed RV tinted windows, 18x24ish

THey did not come with screws. My question: What length screw do I need for the installation of the window ring, with a wall 3/4" thick? Thanks

It depends on your wall construction. If you have 3/4" plywood, I would say no longer than 3/4". due to the thickness of the window frame. If you have a foamie under plastic surface you will need to use screw inserts to anchor your screws. This presents another problem; a small gap between the rain guard and the outer surface. Be certain to use silicon sealer and clean off any residue.

Thank you USMCDon! I found some similar posts here. I'm thinking 1/2 or 3/4. I'll get both.
