Hi All,
I just finished painting my wheels. Yippee!. Tomorrow I'll buy some tires and have them mounted, and then I'll touch up the paint one last time. I wound up using some circular price tag stickers that I had lying around as masks for the bolt holes. I put masking tape all around the area of the wheel where the tire hits so, hopefully paint is just where it belongs and nowhere else. Anyway, both sides now have 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of dark red paint. I'd post the pictures but my camera went on a trip to Sturgis.
As soon as I get those wheels mounted I'll use Madjack's suggested technique of laying the straight edge across the tires and taking my vertical measurements. Then, I'll be ready to make the long anticipated and often dreaded axle phone call.
Progress for me feels pretty slow...over 200 posts and no chassis yet.

I am enjoying the process, tho.
Kris
