Location of bulkhead

Location of bulkhead

Since i'm building from several plans (Benroy) and various youtuber's, is there a set location for the bulkhead ? From the front edge to the front of the bulkhead, is 80" standard ? This
is my first build. The next one will be easier. Thanks...Matt

how long is your mattress?
do you need any other clear space beyond it?

Mattress will be made to fit the space. I'll probably go with 78". Thanks
