im building a 5X9 frame/tear, ive got some more cash, so i wanted to get the tounge and angle braceing welded up,

what size for the tounge?

how long from the front/frame to Jeep-hitch

How far back into the frame,

...well I went in and fixed Auntie M's link and then scolle ddown and saw the RASP had beat me to it...thanks..
...Basically and at a minimum the tongue should be equal to half the width of your tow vehicle plus a couple of inches...this will keep you from jackknifing the T V into the camper body...

My 4Runner is 5'4" wide and my tongue is 36" long. Just like madjack said. About half plus a couple of inches. Works for me.
