Dink carrier Construction

Hello All,

Has anyone built a Dink Carrier - as seen in the plans section ?

I have already built a D-4 dinghy and have a second hand Harbor Freight trailer frame and want to make a teardrop sandwich. The data on the CAD plan turns to gibberish when enlarged. My computer is not CAD friendly so I wonder if a clearer version of those plans or a hard copy scan might be available.

That Dink Carrier plan is mine and I've not yet produced any info for it. What I would have to do is to use the Hull Designer software to produce 'shell expansions' just like for the bigger Trailerboat - if you have a look at that design, you'll see the ply panel shapes pictured on the last page of the pdf file.

If you're serious about building one of these, I'd be happy to add this job to my slop chit* - though it would be a month or two before it worked its way up to the top of the list!

*A 'slop chit' is a British naval term for a do-list - I've never seen any reason why the form ('chit') that you used to withdraw uniform/clothing ('slops') from the stores came to mean a do-list, but it did - and I had written it here before realising it wasn't common language, hence this explanation - of course I could of just erased 'slop chit' and written 'do-list' but then I might seem normal........

I've heard of chits, tokens used to check things out (tools etc.) The closest thing I could think of would be the "Blood Chit" which was worn by the AVG in China. Though the Wikipedia dfeinition of a chit is any slip of paper with writing on it.

As a former sailor- chit is a general maitime term for forms, papers, tickets reciepts etc...any paper especially those preprinted...I saved some Demertit Chits From Boot Camp, but where they ended up I can't remember!...would be interesting to post pics of!...
