Making a fiberglass mold by HOOT

Is this the pic you are trying to show? Posting a pic to a thread is very easy. Hit the quote button on this reply to see how it is done. This is in the "Help with photos" section but I'll explain it briefly (assuming you are using a PC).

You already have the pics in your album so you are half way there.
1) Get your browser to show the pic you want (click on it in your album)
2) Copy the address in the address bar (highlight it and hit CTRL-C at the same time)
3) In the post reply box Paste the address into the box (place the cursor where you want the pic and hit CTRL-V at the same time)
4) When the address pops up in the message body, highlight it again and click the IMG box (just above the message box) make shure there are no spaces between the address and the img brackets
5) Click the Preview box at the bottom to see if it worked.

not calling names for what you want to do that one good way to do and for most shop that how they would do at one time i did it that way even bout a worm wood (10 foot x 20 3 -D router now it's use as a $125000 work bench ) so whow's the dummy you got a boat i got a work bench

Do you keep your plugs or do they get destroyed when you pull the negative molds off of them? I'm anxious to see the rest of your build. How many pieces is the mold? Where do you store them? I have a hard enough time storing my profile template.

Hoot - I was looking at the pics of your orange tear, how did you make the front & back shelves? Are they plywood that's been glassed over? Very nice design.

Also, what is the weight of the cloth you will use for the motorcycle tear?

Those shelf is all fiberglass come out of the mold that i made.I think it weight like3-4lb I don,t use wood in my trailers or screws[screw on hardware only] i put in 2 pic for the molding if you wants to see.

Wow - now that is so cool! I'm really liking the looks of your trailers. I love fiberglass work but I'm not nearly as experienced as I'd like to be. I really do not like the look of wood (hides from people throwing things at me) and like contemporary styling. It seems you have it pegged!

I'm gonna have to try to build some of those shelves for my rig. That will be a great winter project for me. Thanks for the pic updates.

winter?why not this weekend?it took about 1 hour to make a temporally mold if you just going to make 1 or 2 pieces.I did not work on the trailer at all today. it was sunny day,a perfect day to took my boat out for a drive.

Actually I'm going to make a fiberglass cover for the bookshelves, front storage areas, rear storage area, and under the bed. I'm thinking of using foam instead of wood. This would be very light, and since it's only a cosmetic cover for the plywood shelving it doesn't need to be strong.

I'm starting on the camper this weekend. I have to have it done by Thanksgiving as I've already got 2 trips planned but no camper yet. One girl wants to go camping Thanksgiving, and the other wants to go at Christmas. How's that for motivation?
