Decorative Duct Tape

Postby Todah Tear » Thu Dec 07, 2006 1:17 pm

FYI: I was at Michael's (Its a craft/hobby store chain.) the other day and noticed that they had a quite a colorful selection of duct tape. Hot pink, bright orange, red, aqua blues etc... obviously colors with the creative Teardropper in mind. I did a doubletake and made sure it was "duct tape". They have really taken it to another level!

I just thought that I would spread the word in case someone wants to turn up the volume on their tear :D .

I visited the Michael's website, did a search on "Duct Tape", and got a history and spelling lesson. It is actually named "Duck" tape because the original tape was made using duck cotton which was waterproof in 1942.

Here is a link for the duct tape colors. Notice they call the pink, "Funky Flamingo". I don't remember which Teardropper has the flamingo theme,
but they have made a tape for you.

Visit the Michael's website and send them a note. Maybe they will get some.

Ahhh come on Ira. Think of it as the "new grey". Besides that, I bet they would print some with a crab theme if you asked.

It's amazing Todah that not one piece of Duct tape was used in the construction of The Crab, not even for wiring.

I thought I would be using it all over the place--especially for connecting lumber and attaching the fenders!
