Fender dimensions

Postby rmcelroy » Wed Mar 14, 2007 2:58 pm

Hi all, due to circustances beyond my control (my own ignorance) I am going to have to swap my 2000lb torsen axle for a 900lb pair of shorties. This will cause me to lose my current mounting locations for my fenders-brake mounts behind the wheels.

Does anyone have a collection of fender dimensions, or could we start one? The last thing I want to do is order what I think will be OK only to find out I have some kind of problem.

I think it would be a good link in sdtripper2's collection of exceptional knowledge.

Thanks for any help!

Micro, my situation is probably not very common. I guess my critical measurement would be the distance between the wheel opening and the leading edge of the fender. Since I'm relocating the mount points I want to go to a classic TD fender, but it looks like I'l have issues with door clearance.

I Probably should have just asked if anyone had one of these three candidates http://www.teardroptrailers.net/parts/fender/fender.htm and gotten specific information from them.

As a matter of fact, do any of you guys have these fenders?

Thanks
