Why do you ask these fool questions? You ALWAYS do great work and you should be very proud of what you are doing. Nothing you have done is wrong and I envy your work - some kind of Finnish carpenter you are. Looks fantastic - keep coming up with these ideas and you are sure to be the envy of Finnlandia.
Good luck as always and certainly - good fortune my friend....

Well Howdy American Person...     Why do I ask questions??? Man has asked questions from beginning of time.. White man always ask why when Indian say how.  ;) So why should it be changed now.. :D

And SJ thank you for the kind words and I try to always do my best,

halfdome, Danny wrote:Heikki, I like your moose logo  but I think your logo would be seen by more people on the galley hatch even though it looks great on the tongue box, just my 2 cents worth ;) . Just curious, what is the function of the black capped pipe coming out of the ground next to the building in this photo? Are you still going to do a TD trip :vroom: on the west coast this year? :) Danny

Good Morning Danny
That Moose Logo will not go there it was just for fun on the photo.. :D :D
I,ll set it on the back some place.. ;)

The function of the black pipe coming up along the side of the house wall is an air circulation vent for the underneath of the house since we have no basements here. Majority of houses are built on bases only..
that go under the permafrost line. Such is the case with our house.

I hope I explained that well enough so its understandable. Hardly any basement contained houses are made here.

As far as our trip to the USA ... That is still questionable..since our tear is going to be done later than expected.. and the wife wants a trip to Northern Lapland in September and before that to Eastern Finland where the scenic National Park is.. that you may have seen a few photos of..

There is a chance though but it could be in the fall if so..since summer is so short here we,d like to be able to enjoy it here before the ugly snow.and darkness sets in..

Hey folks... While Im doing the staining here in the galley...

Can anyone give me a good idea to open and close the lid for my type of tow box..?? Ive been debating about it for some time now.. It does not open from the inside of the tear...

It will have 2 sections on it.. lower portion with battery and charger.
then a cover with the top section for whatever storage its most suitable for... :?

Ok the lid is basically there but where to cut it and how to make it work well..would it be the same order as the back lid ?

Classic Finn

Morning again Heikki,
A holiday seems a bad time for good questions. I think I would make it like the hatch if you can. I would also make a side door for the battery. A half door on top so it won't be floppy. 8)
