Opinions wanted

In building my own window. I have sandwiched a piece of polycarbonate between two pieces of 1/8" plywood. Oak on the inside and birch on the outside.

Rather than try to screw the sandwich together, I'd like to drill completely through it and fasten it with some sort of fastener that looks nice on BOTH sides of the "sandwich".

Does anyone have an idea of what sort of fastener I should look for, other than the regular machine screw and nut or cap nut? I want something decorative on both the inside and outside. AND, something that would be relatively easy to remove if (gods forbid) I ever needed to remove the glass for repair.

...first thought is to use a SS machine(?) bolt and a SS trim washer on the outside and back it with another trim washer and an acorn nut on the inside...an alternative would be same system with a rosette(think mobil home cieling) instead of the trim washer, especially for the inside...just a first thought.....

Some days all you can do is smile and wait for some kind soul to come along and pull your ass out the bind you've gotten yourself into.
