heyall finally got some pics of the widget in progress in my personal album. fun, fun. Finally broke down and ordered 1/8 in marine ply for the top rather than use interior grade birch ply. Tucson not being known for it's long boatbuilding tradition I had to cast far. bought from noahs boatbuilding somewhere up in Canada. Good price and service and shipping wasn't so bad (about 200 for 5 sheets with shipping). Its not the lloyds approved stuff but could'nt afford that.
They also sell a sealers that clerk said are similar to cpes. One is system 3 s1 sealer and the other is a generic one called Apes (sp). $135 and $109 respectively for 2 gallon unit. Anyone have exp. with these? Cheaper than cpes. They also sell a poly paint to topcoat called epifenis (sp) that they say is pretty good. Any word anyone?
I also wanted to get some advice from any fat (the trailer that is) teardrop builders about adding ribs between the spars (1 or 2, staggered or not) for additional support for the top skin and to keep it from sagging between the spars. My spars are about 68 inches apart and as nice as it would be to get the top skinned I don't want to end up with lots of saggy ply.
Trying to get done in 7 weeks for road trip.
Thanks

That's a neat looking little trailer. What will be in it? Kitchen? etc. Keep up the good work.
