Just got registered and have a question

I just got out of DMV where I spent an hour with the wicked DMV witch who tried to tell me I built my trailer from a kit and wanted the receipt for the kit. I finally convinced that evil woman I built it myself and it only cost $300 in parts ( I dont feel guilty at all for lying to her! ) anyway I ended up with a "California Perm Trailer" Licence plate,total cost was $47, What the heck does that mean? I dont see an expiration date on the paperwork,do I never have to register it again?
I just wanted out of there so I didn't bother asking the DMV devil about it, I just ran! Thanks if anyone knows! Aaron

I have the same here in Arizona and it's a one time fee, no more fees to pay like travel trailers which you have to register every year or every other year.

Hi Aaron from No Calif. Roly here, from So Calif. I can clue you in about that perm license plate. It is good for 5 years, has no date sticker on it and when a cop decides to check out it's validity, he punches in the plate number on his squad car computer and determines if you are a violator or not. I think it's great, no need to pay fees every year, just renew it every 5 years. Wish they would do the same with cars.

(depending upon maximum length, width, or size) can be registered as a

I thought Id just mention that here its like this: If the trailer is under 750 kilo (no brakes) it only has to be registered once.. or inspected once.
If it goes over the 750 kilo or 1650 pounds with brakes it needs to be inspected every year.. and they charge 32 Euro for the inspection but no new plates needed. the same plates are on there for the life of the trailer.

Im yet to find out what mine will be registered as..

Plates - I havent got a clue yet as to what they will cost.. however if I want a special worded plate it will cost 1000 Euro... 1,000.00 EUR = 1,330.81 USD Id like to get a plate that says EU-SUX1

Gosh , in our backward little state, the permanent Trailer license is really permanent ... one time $70.00 fee, that's it for life...

$2.00 at year

Just paid $37 for my 07 - 08 paper sticker for my trailer. That's why I only license one and use it on all 4 of my trailers.
