Does This Plate Need Glue ?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Heikki, if there is trim/screws all around the edges, you should only need sealer/adhesive on the edges and screw holes....

If you are penetrating the skin, YES! I would use some of the gray rv caulking putty behind the screws. I would just put a marble size ball behind the DP where your screws will go. If going thru the frame or something that it doesn't matter if water gets thru, then it is your option. This is what I did on all of my trim and I have no leaks.
