As a newbie, I got into this through my son and DIL liking the T@B design and wanting to go camping. As an engineer of sorts and a reasonable designer and builder of boats and other wooden creatures, I thought "why not build a T@B of my own?"

I have had some correspondence with Andrew - an incredibly helpful person, BTW, and I have been putting mouse marks on my Visio program, tracing the T@B outline (via Andrew) and thinking about how to build one. I also have a T@B dealer nearby and I've been there with tape and pad to get the basic dimensions down

So far, my biggest challenge is the frame. Unless I seriously modify the overall shape and size of the T@B, I can't see a way to use a standard trailer, plus my estimate of the GVWR is 2,000 pounds so most of the available frames are at or below the requirement. In addition, the relation of the axle to the hitch doesn't fit any standard trailer. So I would need a custom unit, and I am not a welder.

Now, my question: Is there a design out there that would give me the 5'-9" headroom without a foot well that I could use in place of my incomplete attempts to duplicate a T@B?

Along that same line, what was the frame you used for the ET? From the pictures, it's a purchased unit, but I'd like to know which one you used.

I didn't go any farther with the Tab L design. The frame probably would have been a custom job.

The ET on the other hand used a 5x10 red trailer, with some modifications, as you can see here...

I would call it the Tilde, since it is one key above the TAB
