Cut out size for crank out windows?

Postby G-force » Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:35 pm

I am planning on using the 15" x 18" and 15" x 30" size crank out windows from Lil' Bear on my tear, can anyone who has installed these tell me the exact size rectangle you had to cut? Can I go ahead and frame in exactaly 15x18 and 15x30, or are the windows over/undersize? Thanks.

Mike

Why don't just send Grant @ Lil' Bear an email and ask him. He'll give you an exact answer and not even bit. So simple of a thing to do. Although he's most likely on the road right now and won't get back to you for a day or two, maybe sooner.

I did sent an email before I posted this here, awaiting his reply. I just figure someone has installed them, perhaps they rememberd the size hold they cut for them.

I cut mine 15x 18 but had to cut a little relief at the corners to allow the screws on the frame to clear. An 1/8" in width and height won't hurt and they will slip in easily and you'll still have plenty of lip left for install. I've installed 10 of them. Doug
