So guys......... where are you coming up with R15 insulation in those thicknesses?
I am NOT a complete idiot! Some of the pieces are missing.

Oh your right..... I just checked my notes from my Lowes visit it is actually R7.5 for 1.5" and R5 for 1".... OOPS... :whistle: :lol:

Mine is more like Mike's pic except the wall extends past the floor. The frame will sit up in the space created so that it will not be seen.

I work at night, I keep the same schedule on my days off. I'm getting ready to do some grocery shopping so I can pack lunch for the week.

Unfortunatly I am working nights so I have to be up... :roll:

So do you guys think my design will work? The wall frame and floor are both supported by the trailer frame. The only thing that isn't will be the side plywood which is glued and screwed to the wall frame. It shouldn't go anywhere right? In addition the whole tear will be glassed for added strength and weather proofing......

Yes that design will work just fine. Your sidewall would have to completely delaminate for the walls to shear... I don't think that's about to happen.

Hi all,

Here's the way that I'm thinking about mounting my floor. I'm trying to maximize the headroom in the cabin so I want a low structure for the floor.

I have not shown that the floor and walls are screwed to the "nailer block'.
