Anyone think maybe using a single Jeep door hinge would work for a round door?

Here's a British teardrop with porthole windows that open - the outer/upper half rotates. No screens though as we don't get that many flying things over here (though if any of you have been to Scotland in the autumn/fall, you'll disagree).



Not that that helps someone in the US, but at least you now know what you're missing!

And I believe Del's Roswell hinge may be called a 'strudy hinge' as that's the very word he says just after he sits up in bed and smacks his head on the hinge....

Round doors, I'm also curious as to the profile your thinking?
I saw a round window at the ITG that was home built, it was slit in half and the bottom just rotated up to open a screened part.
