Talk about when in need!!!! MAN!!! Thanks everyone!!!!!!!

With all of your help and ideas i got my goods today! I got this stuff from Big 5 called Penguin Ultra Dry Protector. Says its great for backpacks outerwear tents and all footwear. It says its guaranteed on all synthetic fabrics and leathers. Protects new and cleaned fabrics from water. Reduces fading caused by the sun. Colorless, non-toxic and odorless when dry. Allows fabric leathers and treated material to breath. And it will not discolor. It ran me $6.99 each spray can. I picked up two just in case. Im sure just having some left over when im done will get me to come up with some new project to use the rest on. hahaha. Im already thinking a cool canvas spare tire cover. :applause:  :) 8)
THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!! I will keep this posting up to date with how it works out. I have lots of new projects going on with my camper right now. Cant wait to show off my camper's new duds. Inside AND out! 8)
Im not lazy. I just hang out a lot.

Hi Tom,

No, I won't be bringing it to Brown County.
I made it for use in the Mobile Sportsman, since it didn't have a bathroom, and have since sold that trailer.

No need for it in the Cabin car, since I have a permanant tub.

I do have a picture though...

Hoss, and all others.....

"My uncle described how they waterproofed a pup tent that he built from plans from the Boy Scouts in the 1930s. They heated up some gasoline on the stove (a wood & coal stove no less), melted parafin wax in it and soaked the piece of canvas he had cut out and stitched in the solution. After letting it dry and air out he used this for many campouts and it never leaked. Now, if you're courageous enough to try it let me know how it turns out."

Yes, it was accepted practice then and even later. But it's really dangerous and not just in the application process. If you do a Google search on Hartford Circus Fire you'll find that the big top was treated with just this mixture. It's highly flammable, even after it's dried.
