Even the lost space in the teardrop is well worth the install of A/C. I have heat and A/C in my teardrop. I can now travel anywhere, provide there is electric service, any season and all year long. Plus the wife insisted on it. And now with the new modifications I made, now have cooling at 12 vdc for dry camping also. Being in South Florida you need A/C most of the time anyway and having it built in is a must the way it rains in torrents down here. An external unit would dissolve in the salt water air, humidity, mildew and dampness down here on the ground. Plus critters like spiders, scorpions and fire ants etc. getting in it would always be a concern also. It is a function of where you live I guess and I find myself here in South Florida.

How about those couple of hours of pure sunshine we had yesterday (Monday) afternoon? I was actually able to go to HD after work to pick up the Birch I needed without fear of it dissolving into pulp!

One thing I forgot to mention about the pet kool. It is also a heater.... and the duct work means you can locate it more conveniently.. it really does look like a nice package..

My box heater is mounted high and I get 80 degree air at the ceiling (btw, where does the ceilng end and the back/front wall begin in a tear?) and 60 degrees on the bed..... so, I've taken to using a small aux. fan to move the air around.... which works pretty well...

I suspose in a perfect world, my a/c would be mounted high, and my heater low. But, no perfection hanging around here......
