looking for good marker side lights

Postby 1940sHousewife » Thu Sep 11, 2008 5:08 pm

Hi all,
Building my first teardrop (finally got started on it!) and I just got a cool retro pair of turn signal lights that will be mounted on the galley lid, but I would like to put side marker lights on the fenders. I found two old styles that have amber facing front and red facing back, but they were sold out/unavailable. Has anyone found any that look retro? I have found the large round modern ones, but nothing with style.

We gotta get you into "photo mode". Do you have a digital camera? Have you seen this yet? http://www.mikenchell.com/pichelp.html

Thanks Looped - I really like the second link.

Mike - I'll upload some pics as soon as I get the walls up. Right now it doesn't look like much. I'm taking my pics with a digital camera. Hopefully this weekend I'll get some more done (I'm at the mercy of my woodworker friend with tools...).

John:
When someone uses ebay links like the one below that stretches out on
one line across the page, the thread takes on a WIDE format.
Using the http://tinyurl.com/ ~ linking is one fix for this issue.
Using the URL tag is another way of doing the fix.

Example, Condensed ebay url that usually is stretched on one line ~ below.

Spend some time on this guys site....lots of original lights and a load of new aftermarket ones. www.taillightking.com I've bought from him in the past for several projects. It takes a while to browse all of what he has to offer. Doug

Taillight king has the two that I originally wanted, but only one (not a pair) of one style, and none of the other (not sure why he still has them up on his site - he's such a tease). He does have some other options, but once you've found the one you want, its hard to settle for something else.
