Lookin' good Dave. I wouldn't worry too much about polishing it. In a few weeks you won't even notice it any more.
Seriously tho, odds are if you give it time to fully cure and do a light rub down on it then wax it it will probably be just fine, if not then you can polish it.
I'd say it looks pretty good for a first timer. I've had my share of dry spots and runs over the years. Don't get many runs any more but still get dry spots often enough.
