5' plywood

Just for information,, I contacted an old plywood connection, Diamond Hill Plywood in Charlotte NC; asking about 5'x10' plywood,, this stuff must be really rare cause they are a mfg/distributor and they do not carry nothing in a 5x10,, however what they do have is 5'x5' plywood,, ina cabinet grade finish, and price is only about 21.00 bucks a sheet,, now thats to a retail seller so if ya have a frindly lumber yard that is not gonna kill ya on markup it could be available,, one nice, neat scarf and wala ya got yaself a 5x10,, now I am going smaller but for the gotta have more room guys out thar, here is an option,, just passing along info,,

I just bought a sheet of 5' X 8' X 1" for fifty bucks. This is a factory second, one side sanded. Normal price is over $120. 1" is really thick, but for half the cost of a 3/4" sheet I couldn't pass it up. It's at Mr. Plywood on Stark if you're in the Portland area. Jim

I have been checking on prices for my Mexican TearDrop project. Hey, if any of you guys live near the Mexicn border, come across! I checked out the plywood and some other things this week at Home Depot here in Querétaro, which is an EXPENSIVE place for Mexico, and the prices were as follows:
(The Peso is at about 11.6 to the dollar)

--12 mm. plywood (1/2 inch): $359 pesos
--19 mm. plywood (3/4 inch): $482 pesos
--2.5 gallon propane tank: $359 pesos
--Propane fitting, pigtail and regulator: $214 pesos
--Stainless steel sink, 38.1 cm. square (about 15 inches square was the smallest they carry) $529 pesos
--Formica countertop, 1.65 meters (about 5.5 feet) long (about 30 colors to choose from): $859 pesos
--Chromed Deluxe two-burner gas stove: $279 pesos
--Painted Deluxe two-burner gas stove: $229 pesos
--Painted Deluxe two-burner electric stove: $299 pesos

The stoves, by the way, are available in most supermarkets here for about the same price.

Just a bit of nitpick(l)ing): 5 x 10 - the width of the scarf x 2, of course. The 5' height would be a big help though, and if you need the full 10', you could always use a reinforced butt joint. Good info.
