Nope! A gentleman would take her out to a nice restaurant so she doesn't have to wash dishes.

A man would stay home, get his dinner cooked and then be told to do the washing up himself.....

That's it!!!

Actually, I cooked--but I just love telling that joke.

We couldn't afford to go out because I need more TD parts.

That is one of the funniest lines I have read in a long time, Ira.

We couldn't afford to go out because I need more TD parts.

The funny part is, that's very true. I used that line a few times on our first tear.

With the kids starting school Monday (can you believe they start so early down here?), we're really strapped for cash until next week. I wanted to start on either the doors or hatch this weekend, but without the bucks to buy what I need, what's the point?

So it's run the lights, put on the trailer hitch (oh boy, big deal), start to play with my rope and varnish, and cannibalize some ply from furniture that I scrounged from someone's garbage--ply that I can use to divide the galley cabinets. May also make my first stab at one of the two cabin cabinets (same scrounged lumber)--a cabin which is still basically rough and unfinished , but that at least now has air conditioning!!!

I'm using EVERY square inch of free lumber I can find, any rust-resistant screw, and any nail that ain't bent. If it's free, at this stage of the build, it means acceptable.

I wanted to paint the fenders before installing (I bought rounded from Northern Tool), but I guess I'll stick those on first anyway, so the weekend is hopefully productive.

See? Everyone can be friendly - if they really want. That's the best part of exchanging information. God bless :applause:
