Water tank question

This is a picture of a Camp Inn trailer. I am not sure, but is that a pressurized tank.

From the shape, I think it's unlikely that it could be pressurized. While the interesting fitting in the tee in the hose is presumably an air valve, I assume that it is there to blow the water out of the system in preparation for freezing weather... although if that's all it is someone sure used a lot of fittings to work it in there! Perhaps it has another purpose as well.

From the shape of the tank it almost looks like it was custom made to clear the jacks and spring hangers.

It does look like an air valve to blow the water out. It's a strange place to have the blow out plug (at the lowest part of the system) if that's what it is. It would seem that a drain plug there and an air inlet valve higher up would work better.

It looks to me like it was custom made to clear some hardware in a different trailer, and was just a good overall fit for this application... there's nothing in the left side recess.

I agree, and even if this were the place there are tidier ways to do it. I suspect that this is not a factory setup, and that there is some history to it that we don't know about.

Yes, it's one of these:

It's a moulded fiberglass 16-foot tandem axle (on leaf springs) rear-bath mid-kitchen travel trailer which is long out of production, but very well liked by those few who own them now, despite an overly flexible frame.

I have seen photos, read about them, and discussed them with owners, but never seen one "in person".
