Looking through the Hall of Fame TDs, I would love to find out how Camp Inn makes the connectin, or Michael Westhoff. Both of these seem to have skins that cover the chassis frame and "swoop" under in the front and back...

The "rivets" are actually aluminum drive nails that have a spiral shank. They screw themselves in as they are hammered down. I got them from George at the Teardrop Fixit Shop in Victor MT.

Do you have a close-up pic of them? And what size are they? And did you use then for youe edge trim as well? I'm wondering if they would hold up over time going into teh edge grain of the plywood.

Hi Ken,
I am having trouble taking a pic of the aluminum drive screws (nails) but they are 1 inch long and about 1/8 inch shank size. They have a very sharp point and a spiral pattern on the shank. They hold very well. I used them for the edge molding on my KIT restoration last year and have pulled it over 7000 miles with no signs of any loosening. If you should hit a void in the edge of the plywood it is easy to fill the void with epoxy and either glue the nail in or wait until the epoxy dries and just drive the nail in. You can always talk to George at the Teardrop Fixit shop and he can confirm that they work well.
