Need Advice: Expanding Design and FRP

I don't completely understand your design, or goals, but the complicated fold out design could sure be a pain!

As someone suggested, a standy (trailer you can stand up in) would be much easier...

Another option, if the extra height is just for the shower and toilet, is to do just a large teardrop with sitdown shower.

A dropped floor, and little bigger than usual teardrop shape can accomodate your needs.

Hello Rob,

The goal of my design is to build a lightweight and compact camper which can be expanded when desired.

The roof and hinged front dome can be raised on aluminum tracks and supported by the removable side panels. These panels will lock in place onto these tracks and under the aluminum angles of the roof frame.

I am scratching the FRP idea since FRP is heavier than I remembered it. Is there a lighter fiberglass sheeting?

I am moving towards having these removable panels being constructed of framed insulation to keep them light. I might be able to store them under the floor in a hidden compartment.
