aluminum edging

I see a lot of people have finished the edges of their doors, hatches, and corners with a strip of aluminum edging. What is that stuff called, and where can I get it? I tried googling it, looking at Lowe's and Home Depot online, and searched the forums here. I'm not having any success.

On the home depot web site, its listed under "tools and hardware", then "hardware and fasteners". Here is the link to make things faster. It took me along time to find those items also online, I had even tried searching with the stock number listed on the part that was in front of me, to no avail. All the trim and hinges you'll need. Plus lots of other great stuff. Be sure to order extra trim cause if you mess up you'll be in trouble. I know from experience.

I've always heard it called edge molding. It has a wide leg that varies in width depending on the application, then a very short leg to cover the join in your materials. I used it to trim out my doors, door opening, counter top edge, galley side wall, and other places I'm sure I forgot.

I got some from Li'l Bear, some from SoCal Teardrops, and some from the local hardware store. Didn't have any luck finding it at my local Lowes or HD.

Angle moulding and bar stock aluminum are both available in 8'0 lengths at bigger Lowe's and Home Depots. In the hardware aisle.

If you have any radii to bend around, same yourself some time and frustration by ordering some trim from Grant at Lil Bear. It's not the cheapest by the time you add shipping charges, but it'll be soft and easily bent around corners. He claims the door edge seal will bend down to a 2" radius. I'd believe it after seeing it.
