Under floor coating

Postby Aaron Coffee » Fri Aug 07, 2009 9:44 pm

Will epoxy the underside of the floor(for practice). My question is can I cover the epoxy with oil floor and deck enamal? I used just the floor and deck paint on the underside of number 1 and t appears to be holding up fine.
Thanks
Aaron

Sure can...epoxy will take paint really well, just sand to 120 or 220 (whatever you have) to give the paint something to grip...

I think any kind of 'covering' on the bottom would work. Unlike what most people think, the bottom of most tears remains quite clean, not matter where they pull it..

My no. 1 had 35k on it when I sold it, and all it had on the bottom was a bit of dust..... so, do what you want, it will work.
