I found my SS piano hinges that I used on the lodge at Fastenal! I assume the pin is SS - hasn't rusted.
How funny I've been talking to the Fastenal guy that makes the deliveries here at the prison and he getting me a quote with discount on them.
How wide were the ones you used on the lodge? the widest I see in the catalog with predrilled holes was 2" I assume that's open flat
Sid love McMaster Carr got a few things for the first one from them very quick service.
all hinges are sold by length and open width. 2" piano hinge is 2" open but not a full 1" each leaf. the knuckle is included in the 2' measurement. depending on the hinge, a single leaf may be anywhere between 7/8" and 15/16" on a 2" hinge.
whenever I used leaf type hinges I mount them and install all of the screws then mask around them before I take them off and apply epoxy to the back after sanding. then remount them dipping the tip of the screw in epoxy too. clean up excess epoxy with a solvent such as lacquer thinner, acetone or vinegar. I have never had a hinge work loose in 25 years. should you need to take the hinge off a heat gun will soften the epoxy and allow you to pull the hinge. a soldering gun will work to soften the epoxy on longer screws, 1" or more. just touch the iron to the screw head for a minute and turn it out.
