Outfitting a galley area

Postby Yellowhand » Fri Feb 19, 2010 8:25 pm

I`ve purchased a Little Guy 5 Wide Platform model. The galley in the back is small and I wonder if anyone out there has some ideas for me. If you have please send them to me at [email protected] Thanks Lyn

There's a couple of folks who have customized Lil Guys... a search should bring the to the top of the list!

You're right -- the galley area is small, and depending on how yours is designed (they differ from year to year) it may not be very well set up for storage, either. I customized mine for storage last year because we were planning a trip to Alaska and wanted to keep all food away from the camper. This also kept those pesky mosquitos out of our bedroom.

We wound up storing all our food in the SUV and cooking outdoors next to the TD. It worked out so well that I've scrapped my plans to turn the back into a galley and am sticking with the storage idea. It holds our canopy, shower tent, fold-out kitchen, lawn chairs, hatchett, etc. No food or smelly cooking gear. We spent 20 out of 21 nights on our trip in the TD.
