dumb question

dumb question

I have measurement figures that are strange to me. they are 16.97"--20.99"--30.02"--ect. How do I convert these on a tape measure?

simple, the first is 17 inches, the second is 21 inches and the 3rd is 30 inches.... that is if you are dealing with wood....

Like Arne says, just round then up. 1/64" is .016 and that is way too critical for woodworking. Aircraft construction tolerances for structure is a nominal +/- .030

That looks like some numbers that I might have created. I know how to round them off... but if it is what I think it is, Andrew created a pdf, with the rounded off numbers.

What are you trying to build. I'll bet we can help with the numbers...
