attaching wood fenders

Postby zapj » Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:01 am

I had a hard time finding examples of attaching wood fenders (pic's) so I thought I would share my solution. I used threaded inserts placed into a previously installed piece of 2x10 backer with ss bolts and fender washers. As you can see the fender itself is low weight built with 1/4" ply on the sides and 3/16" Luan top.

Very nicely done. Thanks for posting the pictures.

I think I'm like most in that I can better understand how something is built if I can see it rather than reading how to do it.
