I am getting to the point of having to decide which way to go on doors - flush or t-molding. I go back and forth daily. I like the flush look, but it seems like they are much more time intensive with the inner seal surface. However my walls are 1-1/8" thick so I don't know if I can use the offset hinges for the t-molding. What are some opinions/advice on which one you used and why?

My doors are approx. 44 high by 28 wide. Is a 14 x 21 window to wide for that?

Final question - has anyone had experience with Vintek RV on ebay?

I don't believe you can use the offset piano hinge for walls thicker than 1".

This doesn't stop you from using T-molding. I asked a similar question to Grant and he said that I'd be okay if I offset the door 1/8" out from the sidewalls. I'll make some spacers under the sidewall portion of my hinges from 1/8" aluminum plate to do this.

BTW, right now I plan on using both T-molding and an inner seal. Overkill - yes - but isn't that what all of us first-timers are supposed to do?

I went with the flush look because I thought it looked nicer on my particular build. The inner seal is not that tough to do. Either way you go you may have seal problems if your door warps some. Just make your doors as sturdy as possible.

Your doors look like the corners have a pretty tight radius, might be a lot of work to get the T molding to bend that tight
