Sears had'em on sale so I used a gift card that I found laying around and bought one. That gift card was probably from our wedding; umm 4 years ago? Anyway, the drill doctor works like a champ. It's really fast once you figure it out. You can sit there and sharpen all your bits in an hour.

After you sharpen your bits it will be a while before you need it again. You went this long without one, you probably have enough bits to last a while. I lent it out to a couple friends so they can sharpen their "drill bit collections" also.

I never got the hang of sharpening drill bits on a grinder. Which is OK since I don't own a grinder.
