Tcolar,

I forgot that I used Bob Henry's method for "persuading" the aluminum to follow the curves at the front of my teardrop. It worked pretty good.

Just wondering if you are covering the wood why is everbody removing the screws? Why not leave them in

If putting aluminum on top, that should be fine, but with just "paint" on top, i worry they might get loose (from vibrations) and pop out a little, allowing water to sip in.

Usually, it is due to thin material. Like alot of folks, I used 1/8" plywood for the roof skins. I tried stapling the skins with a pneumatic narrow crown stapler. I couldn't adjust the air pressure low enough to keep the staples from "blowing through" the thin ply. If I could have done it this way, I would have left the staples in place. So...I used washer head screws to spread out the clamping load. These stood proud of the plywood, so I later removed them after the adhesive set.
