Postby JIML1943 » Mon Jan 09, 2006 6:56 am

Good morning folks a thought on the corner moulding i went the local home center and bought 3 8'pcs of stair moulding @ $ 4.85 each havent installed it yet but held it to side of td looks good to me , and it's cheap enough that i will cut and splice it behind the tires no seam showing.

I jsut called a local RV dealer and the parts dept said they had some archaic edging trim "on a rack out back". When aske the price, he said $12.00 for a 14 ft piece. Not bad.

John if you found egde molding for $12 for 14 feet I'd jump on that. Here local dealers want $2.75 a foot $>

Steve, I don't understand how I can tell you where I'm at if you don't
want city or state. I'm in the recliner Ha! or Maybe you want to know where I'm at in the building process? Don't mean to offend as I joke a lot and enjoy life. Slept last night like a baby...cried all night. :D

Drove to Norman Okla and picked up two 16' mill finish aluminum edgings, both for $24.00. They were is a storage building and on a rack and obviously leftovers from previous projects/repairs. I thought I was getting a good deal (and I was) but they are listed in their current parts catalog for 14.00 each. I tied them underneath my pickup and drove the 40 miles home and they're just what I need to cover the edges. Thanks for the information! By the way, the only edging they had in mill were the two pieces, plenty, plenty of white but if I need more, I need to call the parts Dept and they'll order more for me at 14.00 per 14' length.
