Where do you get that pink insulation?

I could swear I've read that you can buy the pink (sometimes blue or green) foam insulation in the big box stores. But I've checked both Lowe's and Home Depot, and all they have are some white styrofoam sheets.

Lowe's had some of the silver backed insulation but it could vary from store to store.

It's available at Lowe's and Home Depot here in Dallas.

Hey

Whenb I was in Kansas, I could buy foam board in 3/4" up to 2" but here in VA. all I can find is 3/4" only. I can get white styrofoam in 1" but don't want that. Maybe it's a midwest/north thing for getting the thicker sizes.

Why hasn't anyone found a dead bigfoot? When was the last time you found a dead deer, bear, coyote, fox, squirrel, etc. that died in the woods.........Hmmm.

Hi Kelleyaynn,

If they don't have it in the store, they can almost always order it for you, (Lowes and Home Depot).

I used some of the pink and some of the foil backed white, (1") in mine and found that the foil backed is a lot easier to work with. The pink has a cellophane film on one side that peals off sometimes when you're cutting it.

Good luck,
Brian

I'm new at this and ready to insulate the floor of my Cubby. I bought the styrofoam stuff because I couldn't find the the pink/green/blue foam board either.

Do y'all advise using the styrofoam stuff?

I did manage to find some of the blue stuff at my local Lowe's - in a different aisle than is labeled "insulation". Go figure. Thanks for your help.

Does it ever. One Lowes here in my area has the 1/2" blue Dow foam sheets that I use for model airboats, but another Lowes doesn't carry it. Same with Home Depot. One store will have an item that another store doesn't carry. Go Figure. I find the paper/foil backed 3/4" foam sheets at my local HD for trailer insulating.
