As long as I am running power up there anyway, might be better than no fan for an extra $16. Problem is again that I can't come to grip with the shipping cost. $15 shipping for $33 worth of goods. Hmmmmmmmm.

Ed, I don't have a fan in mine either, but my vent is just 15 bucks. (Plus shipping.)

So like Jack said, at least stick this in there for now with the wiring, and you can always swap out for one with a fan down the road.

First, Im glad to see another Minnesotant on this form.
Now I think there are two of us out here.
I just finished my "Modified Weekener" It took 7 months.
It turned out exactly as I had planned and planned and planned that it would.
It's 5x10 with a full sized Air Conditioner, but I still I framed in the roof for a 14x14 fanTastic fan that I plan on installing before my Madien Voyage on Memorial Day. I won't put in anything but a fantastic Fan.
We both know how humid a Minnesota summer can be, so start saving that $1.00 per day for the FanTastic Fan, you won't be sorry.
Have you checked out www.hilltoptrailersales.com in Fridley MN right on University ? They have a huge parts dept. you can drive there and not pay any shipping. I have bought a lot of "stuff" there.
I haven't posted any pictures on this site yet, but spent many hours here while in my development stages last spring.

Jeez, I go by Hilltop Trailer Sales every time I go to Harbor Freight with a 20% off coupon. The link that you posted doesn't work.

Power to the hole is a definite. I will either get an inexpensive powered fan or make one with hope of getting a Fantastic Vent down the road.

It can get hot and humid in Minnesota in the late summer. I can say that I have been cold a lot more often than hot camping here. I am looking forward to going out late in the year during Fall when I wouldn't think of it with a tent.

Ok-Guys, You caught me. I've been lurking in the background for allmost a year now. I started planning my "Weekender" during a Minnesota Cabin Fever spell last March. I started reading and planning for months, I had my frame built in June. Now 7 months later, I finaly mounted my doors just last week. The roof vent and the mattress are the only things left to buy and install.
Grant has seen pictures, "went to him" for advise on the galley hinge and door trim, neither of which were going to work for my application so I had to move on to Plan-B (again).
I was on the Form a couple of time before as "Gadget Man" but couldn't get back in, (forgot Password) so I had to re-register.
Now that I have over 100 pictures of the entire building process, I want to get them all out here to return all the good advise I've taken.
I need to get my 17 year old to help me with Pictures.
