Baby Crib Mattresses

Postby ashleygries » Sun May 29, 2011 9:05 am

Anyone thought of using baby crib mattresses horizontally down the length of the cabin for the bed? I haven't searched the forums for this (and I'm a bit of a newbie), but I have found quite a few free crib mattresses on craigslist, and it seemed like a good idea for those who have narrower cabins.

I don't know if that would be very comfortable, they aren't meant for the weight of an adult. Maybe you could stack them 2 deep, but then that would be getting a bit tall.

If they are free, you could just get some and find out, but that would be taking them from someone who could actually need it, and also you would then have to get rid of them if you decide against using them.

True, true- I can't actually use them b/c our trailer will be wider than 52" inside (which is the standard length of a baby mattress), I just saw some on craigslist and was brainstorming! :)

I saw somebody make ''couch cushoins'' for thiers. I think they fit in 2 wide and 3 long. They easily fit through the door, and they stacked them 3 high to make 2 camp seats. Don't hold me to any of the numbers, It was one of the first posts I read when I joined.
