New build finally started!

Is it me, or is there a gap between the side walls and the cabinets? The cabinets could be built in place to add a bit of strength, though it isn’t a big deal – just an observation.

Yes there is. It's tough to tell in the photos (and because I didn't really line it all up when I set it there), but the gap is the thickness of the 1/4" plywood inner skin. I'll be insulating and wiring the walls, then installing the inner skin before putting the walls up. There will be no gap at that point. Then I'll glue and screw the whole galley/cabinet section to the walls. I liked the idea of building the galley/cabinets separately, now I'm not sure why I thought that was a good idea. I think it may have been more complicated.

That makes sense and should be plenty stout when you get it screwed and glued together!

Not a ton of work lately, but did get the outer plywood skin on. Next is the dreaded hatch and doors...
