For a Fantastic fan? Then yes. I'm not shure about others but I think it's a generic size. Actually, I made mine 14 1/8 but it's a little tight for the wires.

I framed in a 14 1/4" square opening in my roof and ran wires to it a few months ago, but now I can't remember exactly where in the roof it was... Guess I'll just get the router out and start lookin' when the time comes....

did you use anything steel to fasten the wires to the frame?
A magnetic 'stud finder' might help you locate your vent opening if you did.

Yup, got a stud finder, that should do the job. At least I know the opening is on the centerline, and aligned with the door opening. Just can't remember which way the darn trailer was facing....

Folks,

A question about the vent framing...

How thick a roof/wall can the Fantastic Fans accomodate....is that adjustable for the fans or do you have to order specific fans for specific wall dimensions?

This kind of thing is why I've been taking build pictures of my projects for the last 15 years. It's really helpful when you want to know exactly where that waste pipe in the wall you had openned up five years ago is.

Those disposable cameras are good for this kind of thing, I've got several thousand in Nikon kit but I'll still use the disposables on construction projects so I don't have to worry about the dust/damage.

Jim, I forget what they call it, I think it's called the flange, but yes:

You order the specific size flange for your roof thickness; the fan is the same.
Here we go again!
