Hey, Cliff!
I just use screw-nails ... not the fat ones, but the skinny ones you can get at carpet supply stores. I drill holes in the vertical leg of the T-Molding about 4" apart, just a bit bigger than the shaft of the nails. BTW, find or make a "punch" that you can use to drive the nails the last 1/2" so you don't have the chance of dinging the edge of the T-Molding with the hammer.
