Extended ULTRALIGHT CHASSIS

Postby droid_ca » Thu Oct 18, 2012 7:21 pm

I have been working on my trailer design...now I got lots of help from my friends but I need to keep it as light as possible and I came across Andrews (angib) design and was wondering if there was a way to lengthen it so I could go wider then 5 feet say 7 feet as well as make the trailer itself a little longer

Here is the website to see what I'm talking about
http://www.angib.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/t ... tear57.htm

Thanks

I think this design was made for a very light (sub 500# ?) so I don't know if it should be stretched very far. I'm sure others that are way more knowledgeable than me will chime in on the topic. I hope to build a small really light tear soon but haven't got that far yet (my current tear is a 4 x 9 :) ).
